Our Mission
Our mission is to cultivate a deep understanding of Lillooet’s journey and spark an awareness of its exciting future. We achieve this by diligently developing, preserving, and exhibiting collections that illuminate the diverse history of this area. Through innovative programming and by actively engaging audiences locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally, we strive to make Lillooet’s stories accessible to all.
In all our endeavors, we are guided by the core values of transparency, accountability, relevance, and trust. We invite you to explore our exhibits and collections, discover upcoming programs, and connect with the fascinating history that makes Lillooet so unique.
The Lillooet over the Years is based on the archives and photographs donated by Lillooet families to the Lillooet Museum. It provides a pictorial description of Lillooet over time. Learn about the early settlement, industry, buildings, community, and people. This book may also serve as a useful reference for visitors to enjoy the Lillooet Museum as well as the heritage tours of the Lillooet District and St’at’imc Territory.
